Our take
I picked up the DDJ-SX2 and it’s a solid workhorse for Serato. The 4-channel layout gives plenty of room for complex mixes, and the 16 pads are responsive for hot cues and rolls. I appreciate the XLR outputs for connecting to a PA, and having two mic inputs is handy. That said, it’s used with no warranty, which gives me some hesitation. The 48 kHz sampling rate is standard but not top-tier. Build feels sturdy, but the lack of warranty means I’m crossing my fingers nothing fails. For the price, it’s a capable pro-level controller if you’re okay with the risk.
