Our take
I've been using the DDJ-SX for a while now, and it's a solid workhorse. The 4-channel layout gives me plenty of room to mix multiple tracks or add a mic. The build feels sturdy, and having 16 pads per deck makes triggering hot cues and samples a breeze. The included case is a nice bonus for transport. That said, it's a bit bulky for home use, and the 24-bit/44.1 kHz sampling rate feels dated compared to newer models. If you're serious about Serato and need the extra channels, it's a good buy, but don't expect the latest features.
