About this product
The Pioneer DDJ-SX3 is a used 4-channel Serato DJ controller from Japan. It offers 2 microphone inputs, 2 phono inputs, and 2 line inputs, along with USB and XLR outputs. Features include Auto BPM, autoloop, BPM counter, built-in mixer, LED lights, pitch control, and a replaceable crossfader. With 16 pads, 2 decks, and 1U tabletop form factor, it supports effects like delay, distortion, and dub echo. Maximum sampling rate is 24-bit/44.1kHz.
Our take
Even used, the DDJ-SX3 is a solid workhorse. I love the layout—everything feels intuitive, and the built-in mixer saves space. The 16 pads are responsive, and the effects add flavor. However, being a used unit from Japan, I worry about wear on the crossfader and platters. Also, it lacks USB-C connectivity. For $890, it's a capable controller for intermediate DJs, but newer models offer better integration. If you find one in good condition, it's a reliable choice.
