Our take

The DDJ-SB3 is a solid entry-level controller that's super portable. I like that it's USB powered—no need to hunt for an outlet at a house party. The pad scratch and FX Fade are fun to play with, and the 16 pads give you plenty of trigger options. However, the lack of mic inputs means you can't easily MC during sets, and the plastic build feels a bit cheap. For around $207, it's a decent starter controller, but if you plan to use vinyl or mics, you'll need to upgrade sooner rather than later. Also, no warranty is a bit concerning for an import unit.
