About this product
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-SB3 Black is a 2-channel Serato DJ controller with 16 pads, 4 decks, and features including Serato DJ Lite, Pad Scratch, FX Fade, Hot Cue, Sampler, and Loop. It has USB, headphone 1/4" and 1/8" outputs. Made in Japan, includes USB cable. No warranty.
Our take
I bought the DDJ-SB3 used for $229.98, and it's a dependable controller for Serato. The 4 virtual decks (2 physical) give flexibility, and the 16 pads handle hot cues, samples, and loops well. The FX Fade and Pad Scratch are fun for transitions. Build quality is typical Pioneer—plastic but solid. It includes a USB cable, but no warranty. The lack of mic/line inputs limits expansion. For the price, it's a great intermediate controller, but if you need XLR outputs or more pro features, look higher up the line.
