Our take
I got the DDJ-SX with the carrying case, which is a nice bonus for transport. The controller itself is solid and feels like a professional tool. The 16 pads are great for cue points, and the FX control is intuitive. However, the 44.1 kHz sampling rate is a step down from newer models, and the lack of Serato Flip or DVS support shows its age. It works flawlessly with Serato DJ, but you won't get newer features like Pitch 'n Time. The included USB cable is handy, but no warranty worries me a bit. If you can find it at a good price and need a sturdy Serato controller, it's worth considering, but don't expect modern specs.
