About this product
The Pioneer DDJ-SR is a 2-channel Serato performance controller with 16 pads, loop/sampler effects, and two phono inputs. It is USB powered and features 24-bit/44.1 kHz audio. The unit includes 6.35mm input/output ports. Made in Japan, this compact tabletop controller is designed for intermediate DJing.
Our take
This DDJ-SR is a strong performer for Serato users. The two phono inputs allow direct connection of turntables, which is a plus for vinyl enthusiasts. The 16 pads are responsive and the loop/sampler effects work well. It's compact and easy to transport. However, the 44.1 kHz max sampling rate is outdated. Also, the lack of a warranty is a risk.
