About this product
The Pioneer DDJ-SB-R is a limited edition red 2-deck Serato DJ controller with 8 pads, filter fade, hot cue, auto/manual loop, and sampler. It includes a USB cable. This tabletop unit has one mic input, headphone output, and USB connectivity. Made in Japan, it is designed for entry-level DJs. No warranty is included.
Our take
This red DDJ-SB-R is visually striking. As an entry-level controller, it's easy to set up and use with Serato. The 8 pads are enough for basic hot cues and loops. Filter fade and FX1/FX2 are nice additions for transitions. The build feels lightweight but functional. However, the plastic construction doesn't inspire confidence for heavy gigging. Lack of phono inputs means no direct turntable connection. It's a good starter, but serious users may outgrow it quickly.
