Our take
I've been using the DDJ-1000SRT for a while, and it's a solid Serato controller. The 4-channel layout and 4-deck capability give plenty of room for complex mixes. The full-size jog wheels feel responsive, and the 16 pads are great for triggering cues and loops. The built-in sound card works well, though the 16-bit/44.1kHz limit is a bit dated compared to newer controllers. The effects section is robust, with everything from echo to flanger. Build quality is typical Pioneer—sturdy plastic, not metal. For the price, it's a capable club-style controller, but don't expect high-res audio or premium materials.
